Build a winning hand, say how it was won, and see the faan, every pattern and the payout as you go. Counted with the same Hong Kong New Style rules Mahjong Versus uses at the table.
Mark only sets you claimed before the win. The set the winning tile completes stays concealed.
7 faan, base 24, OK to declare
A hand scores every pattern it contains, added together. A few never combine: Pure One Suit replaces Half Flush, and Big Three Dragons replaces Small.
How you won adds more: self-draw, a fully concealed hand, no bonus tiles, your seat's flower or season, or a lucky last tile.
Limit hands like Thirteen Orphans or All Honours pay the maximum by themselves. Nothing else is added.

On a self-draw, all three opponents pay the base. Off a discard, only the player who threw the tile pays. Below the table minimum (3 faan by default) you can't declare the win at all.
On a Big Three Dragons or Big Four Winds completed from claimed sets, the player who fed the last set may pay for the others (§10 責任).
Faan 番 is the scoring unit in Hong Kong mahjong. Each pattern and extra in a winning hand is worth a set number of faan, and the total decides the payout.
Tables set a minimum, usually 3 faan. A complete hand worth less than that can't be declared, so you keep playing. The calculator shows what would get you over the line.
Both pay the maximum. A limit hand scores on its own and ignores everything else, while a stacked hand reaches the cap by adding patterns and extras together.
Not in these rules. They count toward Small and Big Three Dragons, the Four Winds hands, All Triplets and Half Flush, but a single dragon or wind pung adds no faan by itself.
